History:
After searching the whole of Japan for his "big dream" after the escapade with Ryoma and his friends, Echizen Ryoga finally found himself accepted in Tokyo University, as prestigious as it is. He also found himself liking the thought of becoming an attorney, and pursued it to the best of his abilities. He didn't have too, of course - he was a natural at speaking in an audience and twisting a liar's words to becoming his statements. He earned himself a good grade, and upon entering the bar exam, he was one of the few in his year to pass with flying colors. Immediately, he was hired by a certain law firm to work for him, and his career started from there. He became one of the most renowned attorneys through his tenacity and rigorous personality that drives him to victory. Because of his success, he started a new law firm on his own, and currently, it's been going on smoothly.

In the middle of his career, he met a woman named Sugihara Kyoko, an attorney herself: eloquent, intellectual, quite bad-tempered, but very striking - his kind of girl. They formed a beautiful relationship together for three years straight, over which he realized that he loved her very much. He was about to ask her to marry him, when a sudden car accident involving a drunk driver landed her in the emergency room. Years later, she is still in a coma. The doctors tried reasoning that there was very little hope of her waking up, but Ryoga didn't pay any heed. He knew she would live, and up to this day, he is still hoping.

He moved to the Konomi Complex because it's very near the hospital where his girlfriend is currently confined in. He has little contact with his parents, and none at all with his little brother. He doesn't realize how much of that would change now.
